Hi all. Thought I should introduce myself.

I have a 1970 (at least that's what the CT DMV says) O'Day Day Sailer. I bought it three years ago for $700 against the will of my parents from my neighbor, who hadn't sailed it in 8 years. She sails well, in fact my first time out in it was single-handed while my buddy was watching me in his Sunfish, of which I was faster than him!

I've been slowly refreshing it, and luckily the hull cleaned up well, and she sails beautifully. So far I've refinished the wood trim, and I'm in the process of replacing the running and some of the standing rigging, and the mast step hinge after a first sail of the season de-masting last year.

Have fun and enjoy the new to you DS. I have an old 1966,DS I that is is pretty good shape. I have done very little in the improvement department. I really enjoy the boat and hope that you will enjoy yours also.
